Having recently returned from an international exchange to the University of Kassel in northern Hessen, Germany, James presented his experiences to a group of students, faculty members and German university delegates at QUT last week.
James participated in the Engineering Module in June / July of this year, which on top of daily German classes, offered an introduction to the various interactions between the field of engineering and the environment. A wide array of topics were covered during the course, ranging from innovative renewable technologies, to strategies for coping with, and adapting to climate change. James encouraged the students to take the opportunity to study abroad, and hopes to apply some of the sustainable strategies to his work in the office.
During James’ absence, POWE Architects have continued to be busy with some exciting new projects, current projects progressing toward construction and some old projects returning to the office. Further news updates to come in the following days.
