June has seen the announcement of a large number of retailers who will be occupying the centre when Town Square Redbank Plains opens in November 2016. In addition to the Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Target tenancies, the centre made announcements on a large number of specialty retailers who will be trading including Domino’s, Anytime Fitness Australia, Nando’s, S+S Hair.Beauty and local family run business Jace & Lee The Bargain Butcher. Pig ‘N’ Whistle have also been welcomed to the centre with the major pub & restaurant chain occupying tenancies on the corner of Redbank Plains Rd South & East.
The iconic pub celebrated the news on their website announcing “an expansive space has been secured to complement a variety of retail stores, that will offer a fantastic dining experience for local residents.” It’s expected that Pig ‘N’ Whistle will be a popular choice for residents in the local and surrounding area who will be able to enjoy great food and beverages in a quality setting without the need to travel too far. As reported in the Courier Mail, Mantle Group CEO Arj Rupesinghe said “The pub will be a new offering in the area with quality dining, craft beer and a lively atmosphere. We believe Pig ‘N’ Whistle will be great for the Ipswich community.”
The announcement of these tenancies has been welcomed by the local community who have voiced their excitement and interest on the centre’s Facebook page. Over 2,700 people have expressed an interest in the centre and are looking forward to when the doors open later in the year. Construction has progressed significantly over the last month with most of the external walls erected and roofing installed to major portions of the centre.
