As well as a wide range of architectural services, POWE Architects has a demonstrated capability and successful experience in interior design. Our experience covers a range of scales from large office and call centre fit outs for national clients, to small scale short term project offices and residential apartments and their accompanying sales suites. POWE Architects respond to our client’s briefs with a balance of good interior design and sound commercial principles. We use the experience, listed in the projects below, and advanced technology skills to achieve results that consistently exceed our client’s expectations.
After the 2011 floods destroyed the BoysTown administration headquarters at Milton, POWE Architects mobilized a team to assist with the clean up and over the following 9 months restored and reinvigorated the offices and counselling facilities at a cost of $1.7m. The centre was reopened in time for the 50th anniversary celebrations. POWE Architects designed, documented and administered the rebuilding works. We also have completed a number of satellite office fitouts for BoysTown’s operations. These include a Parenting Centre, KHL fitout, and a Training Centre.
POWE Architects provided a full service (design, document and contract administration) for the most recent round of upgrades to the Family Care Medical Services headquarters in Spring Hill. The works involved expansion of the administration offices and the creation of a new call centre for their after-hours Patient Connect service. The project was completed in early 2012 at a total project cost of $400 000. A similar facility was also undertaken for their second operations centre in Sydney.
Alderley Square is a large mixed use TOD development comprising of retail, commercial and residential components. An integral part for the marketing and advertising for the project was the development of the Alderley Square Sales Suite. This involved the refurbishment of an existing building onsite to include offices and an accurate replica of one of the proposed apartments for the major project.
Conversion of an old textile warehouse in Fortitude Valley into the new head office for POWE Architects in 2007 was completed by the team for a total budget of less than $230 000. The interior of the building was peeled back to reveal the buildings original character and a flexible workspace created for the growing team of architects and interior designers.
