POWE Architects got into the spirit of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil by hosting a tipping competition to raise funds for BoysTown. The competition was run between POWE Architects staff, clients, consultants and contractors who’ve worked with us over the years. Some of the tipping results were almost as surprising as the upsets on the field.
All profits from the competition were donated to BoysTown’s Kids Help Line to support their great work. To keep it interesting the first prize up for grabs was a carton of beer or bottle of wine/spirit from the country that wins the cup. We were very thankful then when Germany won the cup as no one in the office was quite sure what the national drink of Ghana was. In the end the competition was won by Stu Coffer from Pinnacle Air-Conditioning.
We all enjoyed the friendly competition while raising funds for a worthwhile cause. The photo above shows Len Powe handing over the raised donations to Tracy Adams of BoysTown. If you missed out on signing up for the tipping comp and still want to get in to the spirit, we are sure that Kid’s Help Line would appreciate a donation anyway.
